Workshop in Halle, proof of concept

In Halle we spent much of our time defining the methodology to use in the training sessions.

Most of us had the idea that traditional teaching wouldn’t work in a 7 days workshop, so we decided to brainstorm on the best approach to get our trainees up to speed with Open Source Multimedia Instruments in such a short time.

We ended up with a really good schedule and really innovative approach that we decided to proof it would work.

For this we decided to make a small 8 seconds animation, with a couple of us spending 4 hours to do what 5 of our trainees should be able to do in two days… the result was this small proof of concept animation (alternative - mp4).

We came to the conclusion that although innovative, our approach is manageable and we will be able to accomplish it in the 7 days time-frame.

Be tuned, soon we will disclose some more information on our approach for the intensive 7 days training.

As a closing to the Halle meeting, some additional photos of the team in Halle.

Working in Halle, Germany

The deadline for the first training session is fast approaching and we, the trainers are at Halle,Germany for the First Tosmi Trainers’ Workshop where we are preparing most of the education methodology and content

We have decided that we should give the chance to the participants in the training sessions to make a small 30″ movie during the courses. So essentially for this to be possible we must build and design most of the content before the first training session.

Until the next post with the script that we are develloping for the 30″ scene take a peak at the picture bellow , showing a still from the animation the trainees are going to produce.
